Care work is essential – and increasingly demanding. To support people working in the care sector and those preparing to enter it, the CARES Erasmus+ project is launching an online learning platform designed for practical, real-life use. The CARES project is an Erasmus+ project focused on improving the lives of social care professionals by promoting inclusion, mental health, and professional growth. Recognizing the demanding nature of care work, CARES aims to empower those in the sector through targeted training, resources, and support. HÉTFA is a partner in the Erasmus+ project coordinated by the Center for Non-Profit Law.
The platform will host a 30-hour learning pathway made up of 15 short modules (micro-learning units), built around everyday work situations. The content is practice-oriented and easy to apply, using short inputs plus guided exercises based on case scenarios and case studies.
Learners will find resources across four key areas:
• Wellbeing and burnout prevention (stress management, boundaries, work–life balance, psychological first aid);
• Digital skills, including responsible use of AI tools, communication, and assistive technologies;
• Soft skills such as emotional intelligence, inclusion and self-advocacy;
• Green and social entrepreneurship-related skills, including sustainable practice and partnership approaches.
The platform is designed for formal and informal caregivers, frontline staff, adult learners interested in care work, and organisations supporting care services. It will be accessible online and structured for flexible, self-paced learning.
Stay tuned—we will soon share registration details and opportunities to join the first users’ group and provide feedback.
