Mr. Gábor BALÁS
Economist, Managing Director and Founder of HETFA Research Institute and Centre for Analysis. Previously, he led the Analysing, Evaluating and Methodology Department at the Hungarian National Development Agency. He regularly teaches at Széchenyi István College for Advanced Studies, which has favoured him the Patron Teacher Award in 2014. He is a member of the Doctoral School of Economics at Corvinus University. His main fields of expertise are effective use of EU Structural and Cohesion Funds, efficiency of governmental policies, and the effects of state regulations on cooperation among SMEs, the mechanisms of local government and the development possibilities of the backward regions.
Mr. András CSITE, PhD
Economist, Doctor of Economic History (dr. univ.) , Doctor of Sociology (PhD). Managing Director and Founder of HETFA Research Institute and Centre for Analysis. He was a research fellow at the Institute for Political Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest between 1994 and 2004. In 1997, he received the Academic Youth Award for his outstanding research activities. In 2000, he was awarded the Erdei Ferenc Medal by the Hungarian Sociological Association. Between 1998 and 2001, the Bolyai János Research Fellow of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Between 1999 and 2004 he was the director of the Széchenyi István College. In 2015, the Zala County Assembly was awarded a Zala County Development Prize. His main fields of expertise are development policy, rural sociology, regional developments, elite studies and entrepreneurships. He is the author or co-author of more than 80 peer referred articles.
