Colleagues from HÉTFA’s Research Management Lab participated in the EARMA Annual Conference in Utrecht between 5–7 May 2026. The event brought together more than 1,800 research managers from 54 countries, with participants attending over 270 presentations, workshops and panel discussions.

HÉTFA RM LAB contributed to the conference programme in several professional areas. Virág Zsár, Senior International Advisor, delivered a presentation on knowledge valorisation, focusing on how research and project results can be more effectively translated into societal and economic impact.

Beáta Lázár, Senior Communication Expert, participated in a panel discussion of the RM Framework project, where she presented the project’s communication and dissemination activities. HÉTFA leads the Communication and Dissemination Work Package of this Horizon Europe project. RM Framework aims to support the development of a European qualification system for Research Management by harmonising education and training programmes and developing a quality label to strengthen interoperability and the professionalisation of Research Management across the European Research Area.

One of HÉTFA’s latest professional contributions, the EARMA Academy online learning platform developed by EARMA and implemented with HÉTFA’s involvement, was presented to interested participants by Dr Szidónia Rusu. The open-access platform offers modular training opportunities covering key competency areas in Research Management. You can read more about the Academy here.

We warmly recommend the EARMA Academy to both early-career and experienced research managers. Its open-access learning materials can support the onboarding of new colleagues as well as the continuous professional development of senior staff.
