The CARES (Caregivers Advancing Regulatory Environment and Skills) Erasmus+ project was launched in November 2024. We are partners in the project coordinated by CLNR (Center for Not-for-profit Law) from Romania, the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection, Sector 6 (DGASPC S6 Bucharest), the Welfare Society Institute (WSI) from Lithuania and the Cooperativa Sociale Labor from Italy.
The CARES project aims to support social workers and informal caregivers through training programs, online resources and policy recommendations, with a special focus on their well-being, mental health and digital skills development. The project addresses two key challenges:
- Integrating digital tools and sustainable practices to mitigate the workplace impacts of climate change,
- Prioritising the physical and mental well-being of caregivers, paying special attention to the challenges arising from workload and job demands.
Social care professionals face significant challenges, including shift work, physical exhaustion and mental stress. The CARES project partners are working together to provide effective support for these professionals.
To successfully implement the project, it is crucial that our training programs and materials are based on real needs. To achieve this, we have launched a survey to explore the needs of professionals working in the social sector regarding their skills and workplace well-being.
The survey is designed for social workers, nurses, informal caregivers and other professionals in the social sector who face the challenges of caregiving in their daily work. If you belong to this target group, please take a few minutes to complete the survey! If you know someone who might be interested, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with them.
Please help our work by filling out the survey at this link by the 5th of March: https://survey.issuemonitoring.eu/index.php/796146?lang=en
Completing the survey takes no more than 15 minutes, and all information provided will be treated confidentially. The results will be used only for research purposes.
Thank you for taking the time to contribute to the success of the project and to the development of the social sector!
