After a week of intense work, the ifempower Spring School – an activity in the frame of ifempower coordinated by HETFA Research Institute – has successfully ended on 11th April 2021. Originally the training would have been held in Miercurea Ciuc, hosted by the Romanian project partner Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, but due to Covid-19 pandemic it was held online. Based on the lessons learnt from the Winter School, which also had to be held online, the organisers managed to make the most out of the online surfaces.

ifempower Spring School is a training program for female students selected at the partner universities: Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary), Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania (Romania), Sigmund Freud University (Austria). Andalucía Emprende, the Spanish project partner also selected students from Andalusian universities.

This intensive training consisted of five thematic days, each one with a specific theme presented by an invited speaker, a group discussion about self-awareness and special small-groups work to support the development of business ideas of the students. Besides, the training was based on the Design Thinking toolkit, a user-centred approach for practical and creative problem solving. By using this method, participants were focusing on the users’ needs and found effective solutions to meet these needs during the discussions.

Day 5 of the Spring School was a special day for the students, since in the frame of the 4th ifempower Multiplier Event, they pitched their business ideas to the jury and the audience.

Hereby we would like to congratulate to the winners of the pitch competition!
