Rasa Smaliukiene has a wide experience in educational and research project as she was leader or researcher in the followings:  Horizon 2020 Project “Stimulating innovation by means of cross-fertilisation of knowledge” under MSCA-RISE – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE),  7th Framework Programme  SP3-People „Support for training and career development (Marie Curie), International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES)“, national research programme   „Social Challenges to National Security“, and others.  

She is a national representative at NATO Science and Technology Organization (NATO STO) in a group for Human Factors and Medicine as well as national representative at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in a group of Human resource management. Rasa has made over 40 scholarly contributions, including nearly 30 peer-reviewed research papers. The latest paper on sustainability issues and stress management in the military represents some of a number of her research interests.
