RMA role:
Funding Advisor / Liaison Manager
short profile:

I work at the Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML), Leiden University for 28 years of which over 20 years in grant support. I gained experience in many aspects of the RMA field since I started in research administration, followed by project management, then moved to the pre-award side, giving grant advice and monitoring research policy developments on national and European level.

After completing a Master in Public Administration in 2014, I was a student in the 1st cohort of the EARMA Certified Research Manager Course of which I graduated in 2016. This was crucial for my change of focus towards providing grant advice to the scientific staff at the CML and taking up the role of research manager. I very much valued the experience in Brussels of the EARMA Leadership Course which helped me further develop my knowledge and expanded her network.

In 2016, I was appointed part-time the role of research manager at the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability and promoted to be the centre manager of the Centre in 2019.
